Building Better Moms (BBM)
Learn, Grow and Serve with Building Better Moms!
Enjoy fellowship and fun with moms who can relate to your daily joys and challenges. Relevant discussion will meet you where you’re at as a mom, a woman, and a friend. The group meets the second Tuesday Monthly in the evening, September through May and includes moms with children newborn through high school. Use the form here to register or contact Julie Christianson.
Our theme for the year is resiliency. Over the course of the year we will be reading Grit: The Power of Passion and Perseverence by Angela Duckworth. Every meeting we will discuss 1-3 chapters.
Fall focus is self-care. We will do yoga, have a painting/art night and do some kind of food exchange. Winter focus is how to help kids be resilient. We plan to discuss how to develop good eaters, how to encourage/support kids spirituality in developmentally appropriate ways, and how to expose kids to and help kids navigate diversity in respectful manner. Spring focus is how to help families be resilient. We have a speaker about financial resiliency and an emergency preparedness speaker as well.
