Youth Ministries Middle School Youth (grades 6-8)
Meets weekly, generally on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. throughout the school year. Activities include service projects, recreation, and worship. Retreats, church lock-ins and events with other United Methodist Youth in the area are regular features of the program.
High School Youth (grades 9-12) Meets weekly, generally on Sunday evenings at 6:00 p.m. Service projects, recreation, and worship are integral to their activities . A summer mission trip is an annual event. They participate actively in events for United Methodist Youth of the area.
Youth Recreation Night (grades 6-12)
Meets Wednesday from 7-9pm in the FUMC Community Center. This is a drop-in program with a variety of self-directed activities available. Basketball, pool, airhockey, ping-pong, foos ball, chocolate-chip cookie making, and table games are all available. Rec Night occurs all year around with some special summer activities.
Confirmation Class
Confirmation classes are offered each fall for youth in grades 6-12, to enter at the age they feel led. Each confirmand is paired with an adult mentor throughout the year. They meet regularly to discuss what it means to be a United Methodist, go on retreats as a group, and explore other faiths. In the Spring, confirmands are given the opportunity to join this congregation.
CHUMS A monthly fellowship for children in grades Kindergarten - 5th grade. There are a variety of activities ranging from swimming to hikes and game nights. CHUMS are encouraged to invite their families and friends to join in the fun!
Troop 2 Boy Scouts Boy run troop, boy planned fun. Troop 2 scouts participate in many kinds of activities through the year, including hiking, camping, bike rides, games, swimming, snow sports, and many skill building competitions. Fun is the key word for boys age 11 to 17.
