This week's character from Faces Of Our Faith is the Joseph of Arimathea (Luke 23:44-56).
Joseph of Arimathea was on the council. He disagreed with the majority. Why could he not stop the crucifixion from happening in the first place?
According to Luke, Jesus’ acquaintances remain at a distance after his death, while Joseph goes to Pilate to retrieve Jesus’ body and uses his own resources to prepare a proper burial. What did he risk by performing these actions? Name a public figure or someone you know who has risked his/her reputation, wealth, or status to do the right thing.
All are welcome here. Join us this Sunday at 9:30 am. In-person or online at https://www.facebook.com/CorvallisFUMC/live/.
